Paljor Namgyal Girls' School

Established in 1924 by the Scottish Missionary Hon’ble Dr. Mary Hepburn Scott a School for the girls of Sikkim.

The School was given a formal structure in 1944, in memory of the then Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Sikkim and thus, named Paljor Namgyal.

So, Kumar Paljor Namgyal Girls School has functioned from the present location for the last 64 years.

Pioneer in girl education the product of P N G S are spread far and wide. Every individual who has been under this banner of Love, Service & Joy is unique. During their school period they have utilized and imbibed this for the development of the self and after school, in the wider world to move towards community development.

News & Events

The school is closed for winter vacation from 14th December 2009 and will reopen on 16th February 2010. Class X and XII mock exam and all classes Re-tests will be held between 1st to 5th Februaray 2010. The school wishes "Merry Christmas and a Cheerful New Year to come" and a relaxing holidays to all the family members!!!
